Our Supporters
Who Are Our Supporters?
The INN has been blessed with the support of generous individuals, religious, educational and community groups, corporations and foundations that have provided critical funding to help meet the growing needs of poverty-stricken Long Islanders. All of these groups have provided assistance, acknowledging the need of their fellow human beings by supporting The INN. Their donations of food, clothing, personal care items and money make it possible for The INN to provide assistance to the thousands of hungry and homeless men, women and children who turn to The INN for help.
The contributions of these supporters, as valuable as they are, would mean little without the support of another group who has put The INN’s mission into action – our volunteers. To define The INN is to define volunteerism, as thousands of volunteers from around Long Island give their time and talent to those less fortunate by serving in our soup kitchens and shelters. Whether a high school student or senior citizen, whether well-off or just making ends meet, each of these volunteers have chosen to become a part of The INN’s efforts to fight hunger and homelessness. Every year, these dedicated volunteers serve our guests, each coming with a smile, or a kind word. It is because of these selfless individuals that The INN exists.
