All Holiday Volunteer Spots Have been Filled!
(Note: as of 10/27, all volunteer spots for Thanksgiving Day have been filled.) As of 11/20, all volunteer spots for Christmas Day have been filled.
We currently have limited spots available to volunteer at the Mary Brennan INN soup kitchen in Hempstead on Christmas Day (December 25th). Groups are limited to 2 people per family or group to give everyone a chance to participate. Please review the rules and restrictions below before submitting an application. There will be no exceptions to these regulations.
- ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OLD
- HOLIDAY SHIFTS ARE FROM 8:30AM-2:00PM (NO PARTIAL SHIFTS AVAILABLE)
- ONLY 2 PEOPLE PER FAMILY OR GROUP WILL BE PERMITTED
- ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST ATTEND ONE PRE-SCHEDULED ORIENTATION SESSION

Shop and Support The INN at Champions for Charity Dec 4-6
Champions for Charity is Americana Manhasset’s annual holiday shopping benefit event! Shop for the holidays at participating Americana Manhasset stores between December 4th-6th and support The INN! When you shop at select stores during these three days, 25% of your designated full-price, pre-tax purchases will be donated back to us!

Attend our Dance ‘INN’ FUNdraiser on Dec 6
Join us for our 2nd annual Dance ‘INN’ fundraiser. Get your dancing shoes and boogie on INN for a few fun hours of dancing for a cause during the holidays!
This is a great community service opportunity for students! Students who attend will receive 3 hours of community service credit. Every attendee who attends must purchase a ticket. We will be collecting donations of winter outerwear and accessories for guests (Hats, scarves, coats, gloves). Students who bring donated items will receive double the community service credit.
Adopt-A-Family this Holiday Season
The holiday season could be a difficult time for many guests of The INN’s shelters and soup kitchen. You can choose the size of the family you adopt and will be asked to purchase items from their wishlists.
Your generosity will ensure that a family who seeks our help will have one more thing to smile about! Register to adopt a family by November 28th.
Donate Gift Cards
Gift cards for guests will be especially helpful during this holiday season. All gift cards are welcome, but grocery stores, pharmacies, (CVS, Stop & Shop, etc) and Visa Mastercard gift are preferred in $25 increments. Gift cards can be dropped off or mailed to The INN’s main office:
