Donors Contribute More than $70k for Emergency Shelter Bed Replacement

We had a bit of an emergency this summer. We had to replace all the beds in our shelters! Luckily, our INNcredible donors came to the rescue.

 

Due to shelter regulations from the Department of Social Services, all 75 beds, mattresses, linens and pillows in all three of our emergency shelters needed to be replaced immediately. We reached out to our supporters with a goal to raise $40,000 in less than one month. Well, let’s just say they “SPRANG” into action! After just two weeks our goal was not only reached, but surpassed. To date YOU have helped raise nearly $80,000 towards our bed project! Because of this outpouring of generosity, every single bed was quickly replaced with brand new linens, and back-ups were put in place for unforeseen emergencies. A special thanks goes to Mattress Firm, who gave us the best price for our Emergency Bed Project, and delivered in record time. We will also be considered by Mattress Firm as the receiver of future community funded project support.
